Off-ice goalie training is an important component to success on the ice. Our goal with this program is to ensure goaltenders learn preparation and cool-down routines, improve performance results, and become aware of how to take care of their body as a goaltender and minimize injury. This program will be run by Newfoundland Growlers and Xtreme Training Strength and Conditioning Coach Jon Reid.
Location: Wednesdays @4pm in the Xtreme Training Facility
Dates: January 31st - May 1st, 2024 (14 Weeks)
Size of Groups: maximum 10 goaltenders

We will focus on the following five goalie-specific pillars through the sessions: Mobility and Flexibility, Speed and Agility, Strength, Stamina and Injury Prevention. See below for more information on each of the pillars.
