Shield Goaltending, in collaboration with Xtreme Hockey, will offer a half-day Team AdvancedĀ Camps for competitive goaltenders and players. The camp is a great opportunity for goaltenders to be in a team environment and is great preparation for tryout games.
The camp includes two hours on the ice and two hours of off-ice activities. The first 60 minutes are focused on team practice where goaltenders will work directly with a goalie coach or will participate in team drills. The second half of the practice is a game where goaltenders will have an opportunity to apply all of their newly learned skills through the summer in real game situations, which will help them be more prepared for upcoming tryouts.
āNewā Videotaped Games
Each goalie will receive a package with a game breakdown - the same thing professional goaltenders receive. We believe in video feedback as goaltenders can see direct feedback and increase their game awareness, which will support their game reads with Hockey IQ.
